 Clark Meets Munch

This short collection takes the titles of sixteen masterworks by Edvard Munch and uses them as the launching pad to create new poems that explore a broad spectrum of emotions, moods and themes. One Year With Mister R: A Poetry Collection of One Man's Journey with Sexual Assault

I was raped.

These words are said aloud 10 months after. Here are the words that S P Clark wrote as he lived with this experience for one year. This is one man's journey of coming to terms with being raped, coming to terms with having this new person, the unknown Mister R, as a lodger in his life. Through the darkest times of fear, self-blame and pain to the possibility of having good times again, a future - this collection shines a light on a subject that is so often left unspoken.

S P Clark's One Year With Mister R: A Poetry Collection of One Man's Journey with Sexual Assault is chronologically compiled, demonstrating the ups and downs, changes in mood as experienced by the poet himself. This book is not meant as a self-help guide, or as a template for others on how they will feel - this is simply the journey of one man and how he experienced this. The hope is that perhaps this book will serve as a comfort to anyone finding their way through this experience, to know that they are not alone, to know that there are better days ahead.
