Moustache is the latest poem from S P Clark. It explores the reasons why the poet has made certain appearance decisions.

Moustache
I decided to grow a moustache to hide behind, to conceal a face that in the mirror only exudes the damage done, to shy away from the reality of aging, to disguise the wounds that I could smell on the lips beneath my nostrils.
Some think it’s sexy. Some think it’s wrong.
It’s my face. I’ll do what I want.
I decided to grow a moustache to hide behind, to absorb the tears that torrentially tumble onto my upper lip, to keep at bay the rills the despoliation leaves, to enjoy a mans hair on my skin though it’s my bristling arousal.
I think it’s sexy. I think they’re wrong.
It’s my face. I’ll do what I want.
He seems to like it when he tastes himself solidifying in the fur above my eager mouth.
