S P Clark has looked at the universal theme of death many times, and has even released a full collection entitled Entertaining Goodbye. This new poem looks at those moments, those small almost forgettable moments that we can't help remember when we think of one we have lost. Here is I'll Remember.

I’ll Remember

A Poem by S P Clark

I’ll remember you every time I hear a Don Mclean song

I’ll remember you whenever a waiter drops a plate

I’ll remember you if the phone ever rings at 4am

I’ll remember you whenever red wine leaves its stain upon my lips

I’ll remember you when I notice a single glove that’s been mislaid

I’ll remember all the laughter and the comments you made as I recall each of the above

I’ll remember you, my friend, remember you with love.
