NEW POEM: Conversation

Simon P. Clark's poem, "Conversation", has been inspired by Time to Talk Day (3rd February 2022). Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation and it aims to get friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. This day is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in association with Co-Op.

(Written to coincide with Time to Talk Day, 3rd February 2022)

Pick up the phone or send a text,

Start that conversation,

Open your ears and listen up,

Without judgement or accusation,

No assumptions that their life will echo the path of yours,

Don’t get fixated or stamp your feet or bellow your protestation.

Be there.
