As we close LGBT+ History Month UK, S P Clark takes a second look back at his poetry written around this theme. Here are 6 more pieces that you can enjoy! Don't forget that you can take a look at the Shop and perhaps purchase Two Men, One Love, The Journey to Love, or Discovery - all LGBT-related.

Let's start with a poem from 2025 called Reflections. It was written for LGBT+ History Month UK and reminds us that others have trodden this path before.
Hanging Up My Heels (from 2021) was a poem crafted to mark the end of an era in Clark's life, when he decided to part company with his drag persona. Drag was an important but challenging aspect of his life, and it remains a vital and important part of the community.
Okay, this one isn't a poem but rather a narrative essay that was written to coinicide with Pride Month in 2024. It looks at Clark's journey through shame to acceptance. I hope you enjoy revisiting PRIDE: A Gradual Process of Removing the Shame.
Clark has chosen to look back at a performance video (about 3 minutes in length) of his poem What Will You Answer? This poem was written for Bi-Visibility Day in 2020. It remains one of Clark's personal favourite pieces.
One Night with an Ichthyologist is a poem that tells the true story of an encounter at a bar that Clark once had. It's a beautiful piece.
2024 saw one of Clark's most read poems (on the blog) and it is about sex, connection and love. Enjoy this final choice: The Warmth of His Flesh.
